Tell me about your role and when you first started at Solar Plants?
I first started at Solar Plants back in 2011 – I am one of the originals! My role has changed massively during this time, starting out as an Energy Adviser where I dealt with enquiries mainly from people wanting to upgrade their solar PV system. I am now the Account Manager for Solar Plants and liaise with other business’ and architects to build relationships and host workshops about the solar market. We recently held a really successful event in Swindon for Architects to keep them up to date with the industry and new products and developments in the industry. I also attend all of our self-build and renovation shows, assisting customers who are planning on incorporating solar into their project.
How has Solar Plants changed since you first started?
Solar Plants has changed massively since I first started! There used to be about 15 of us working for the company and there’s now over 75! We started attending agricultural shows back in 2015 where we went to 3 local shows, this year we’re planning on attending around 50 shows, as well as close to 20 self-build and renovation shows, as well as taking our new exhibition trailer to city centres right across the UK!
What is your proudest moment at Solar Plants?
My proudest moment at Solar Plants was my recent promotion to Account Manager. I was also really proud of the turnout from the recent Architect event and we had really amazing feedback from all attendees which was so rewarding after so much hard work went into the planning and preparations.
What have you gained from working at Solar Plants?
I’ve gained a huge technical knowledge of the solar industry. Being a part of the UK’s leading brand for solar PV is hugely rewarding as the company is continuously expanding and developing, after only starting as a small family business back in 2011.
What are 3 words to describe Solar Plants?
Rewarding, exciting and interesting.
